King Princess is definitely on the up and up, so how nice of her to stop by our quaint and beloved Crescent. The show began with two openers, an electro pop star something like a young Grimes, Banoffee, and a short, sweet, and perfect performance from a local leather soaked drag queen, Rubye Moore. And, then, our girl.
She came out gently demanding presence and silence as she played 3 or 4 new and unreleased tracks. She broke the seal with “Pussy is God,” I believe, and the crowd began to dance and sing confidently to the bangers. Honestly, a perfect performance by KP. Her band of cool hot queers also delivered a solid, clean performance. So many teen girl bras thrown, a mark of a truly great rock’n’roll show.
