What I found fascinating was seeing people I knew at this show and not realizing the wide spectrum of individuals that LP’s music reaches. As soon as she got on stage, the pulsating momentum and energy of the first song, Dreamcatcher, filled a sold out room. She moved so effortlessly across the stage while singing notes meant for an opera house.
I felt such pride knowing her show was moved from a smaller venue to this larger one and for it to be sold out, you could tell LP was nothing but grateful for her fans. She has such an interesting look with her Bob Dylan-esque features, suave demeanor, and the large sailboat tattoo in the middle of her chest—these all contribute to her essence and during this show at The Van Buren, we all wanted a hint of her.
