I don’t have a lot of time today to write about why all these shows are awesome so I’m doing this K.I.S.S. style. The point being, you should attend all the shows this week, hell just go see some show.
Superhumanoids, The Holy Coast, and Spirit Cave
Crescent Ballroom 8:00 pm – Free
I’ve been digging this band Superhumanoids for the past few weeks ever since they popped up on my Spotify radar. This band is representational of the music I’m into these days – synth based pop. Cool factor: male and female vocals. I’m also dying to see new local band The Holy Coast ever since I got a taste of their tunes in my ear buds.
Rodeo Ruby Love, Underground Cities, Captain Squeegee
Yucca Tap Room 9:00 pm – Free
Underground Cities (UC) is one of the very first bands I fell in love with when I moved to the Valley 2 or so years ago. UC and Captain Squeegee and both bands you have to see, feel, and experience to truly appreciate the energy of their live performances.
The Burning of Rome, Zero Zero, and Fairy Bones
Crescent Ballroom 8:00 pm – FREE
I saw The Burning of Rome at the Crescent a while back with Doctor Bones. They are an absolute riot of band. Sharing Tuesday with electro fuzz rockers Zero Zero and the Punkitude of Fairy Bones, this will be one lively night filled with in-your-face entertainment. In the mean time give The Burning of Rome a nice supportive push by voting for their video on mtvU http://www.mtvu.com/music/color-mandee-monet-michael-francis-the-burning-of-rome-the-decoration/
Love, Palms residency show with The Echo Bombs, The Madera Strand, and Fairy Bones
Long Wongs 9:00 pm – FREE
Beach groove band Love, Palms (formerly PALMS) plays with spitfires The Echo Bombs and moody rockers The Madera Strand, while Fairy Bones claims the title for the echo cloud MVB this week. There’s going to be a pool party. The pool is imaginary.
Future Loves Past & Yellow Minute 7” Vinyl Release Show
The Sail Inn 8:00 pm – $7
Future Loves Past has sure grown up tall in the past few years. They recently signed to Common Wall Media, the group that has represented some of Phonix’s finest bands including Bogan Via, Snake! Snake! Snakes!, Gospel Claws, and Dear and the Headlights. FLP are teaming up with Yellow Minute for a dual vinyl single, which will be released on President Gator Records. Joining them for this show are the melodic and talented Of The Painted Choir and and the raucous Boss Frog.
